We scoured the Internet to bring you 15 of the coolest watches around. See if you can guess how much they cost. The prices are on the final page.
1. Eye Of A Storm
Inspired by the eye of an actual storm, this timepiece was designed by the German design studio, Yesign. It uses LED technology to display the time on the circumference of the absent face. Day or night, the blue lights are easily visible…if you know where to look for them. (It’s 4:00.)
2. Astronomical Watch
With 396 moving parts to display real-time orbits of each planet in our solar system– symbolized by semi-precious jewels like turquoise, jasper and agate–this watch won’t tell you the time but will display the locations of each planet in relation to Earth. To add to its elegance, the gold is 18K.
3. Ora Unica Watch
The squiggly lines replace common, straight hands and twirl to tell you the time. The interior points out the hour while the tip of the outside coil shows you the minute. Each moves surprisingly independent of the other. Ora Unica is manufactured by Italian brand NAVA.

4. Jaquet Droz Bird Repeater Watch
This new automata-based repeater watch contains one of the most intricate automations. The mother bird feeds her chicks and the egg hatches. Manually engraved and painted mother-of-pearl with a black onyx center and encased in 18K red gold, this Swiss watch took several years to research and to create.
5. Louis Moinet Tourbillion Asteroid
Spectacular meets cool in this watch from the Louis Moinet collection that is crafted with the fragment of a meteorite. Encased in 18K white gold and diamond baguettes, this Swiss watch contains a piece of the Itqiy meteorite that landed in 1990 in Western Sahara. The dial mechanisms are revealed to add to its exquisite charm.
6. Digital Destruction Watch
Tucked behind a seemingly blown out analog face, the actual digital time peeks out. Available in three styles, you can can choose military, 24-hour display or the more common 12-hour option. You also have the ability to view date and the seconds or activate a backlight.
You can order it here.
7. Midnight Poetic Wish Watch
This wistful watch will keep you looking at your wrist. Wind the upper crown and the man travels to the right, telling you the hour. A shooting star above fills you in on the minutes. Graced by the skyscape of Paris in front of a crescent moon, this timepiece tells a romantic story…over and over again.
8. Nadir Watch
The hands of time point inward, creating a chic (maybe even a psychological) clue to your introverted personality. However, this conversation piece is made of black IP stainless steel or brushed stainless steel and will spark interest and questions from others about your wrist gear.
You can order it here.
9. The Bradley – A Timepiece For The Blind
This tactile, titanium timepiece has lifted hour marks and two bearings to tell the time. A bearing on the face relays the minute mark and the one on the side informs you of the hour. Its contemporary, metal design makes it chic for anybody, not just for those who can’t see.
10. Kisai Stencil
With a custom designed stainless steel case, the Kisai Stencil from Tokyoflash Japan appears cryptic but it’s not. The colored LCD display shows the time in negative space. Just look into the background to read the time. (Can you see 12:46?) You have options to view the date, set an alarm or turn on the backlight.
11. Luxury Men’s Snake Dial Watch
Reminiscent of Batman technology, this watch tells you the time if you know the code. Here’s the code: blue lights tell the hour; count the outside red lights by fives for the minutes and the middle red lights to add individual minutes. This image shows 37 minutes. Get it? Better memorize the face, though, so you don’t have to do the math when somebody asks you for the time.
You can order it here.
12. Kisai Seven LED Watch
The dark spot on the inner circle lets you know the hour; the outer circle, the minutes. You can leave the lights on constantly for a solid glow or have them pulsate wickedly. You also have the option to view the time with the push of a button or program the circles to light up at intervals. You’ll amaze others when you make sense of the time with this Tron-inspired timepiece.
13. The Saturn Watch
The digital display propels the minutes and hours through black segments. The outer ring gives you the hour in 12 dashed lines and the inner ring has 60. It’s encased in stainless steel but also available in tough-looking gunmetal. The display glows for easy nighttime viewing.
You can order it here.
14. Hublot Big Bang
You won’t find any glowing lights or illusionary hands on this piece. No snake skin or cryptic displays either. What makes this watch special is not new technology either. It’s diamonds. Just diamonds. 1,28o of them to be exact, taking over one year to gather from around the world. Each stone was cut by an expert jeweler to ensure a perfect, seemless, elegant design.
15. Urwerk 202
This black platinum watch will baffle and amaze. The hour is displayed on the cube with the retractable needle pointing to the minute. As the new hour begins, the current cube exits left while the next cube perfectly rotates to the coming hour, with its needle pointing to the 0 minute. Warning: you’ll “have to” manually demonstrate the magic to everybody who sees your watch.
